A. Practice good housekeeping.
Prevent slip/trip hazards by keeping floors clear and clean, and wiping up any spills immediately.
Properly collect and dispose of waste and save what is savable!
Sharps are to be used with an Expert.
Clean up and storage are the most important to be cleaned in and put away correctly and neatly.
B. Long things like hair and jewelry need to be tied back away from your working area. They could get caught or damaged. It is best practice to remove all long jewelry and use the donated hair ties located at the entry to the MakerSpace.

Wear safety glasses with side shields (or goggles) whenever active work is in progress in the MakerSpace Use additional personal protective equipment as required or appropriate.
If a tool is broken or damaged please let Mrs. Welch or Administration know or place a note in the Maker Mailbox.
Operate safely do not remove or defeat equipment safeguards. Consult an Expert before starting a new operation to monitor safely and correctness of tools.
Keep fingers and hands away from hot and pointy things! Ouch!
Clean up, Always! It is a community area.
Never distract someone from their work with any tool and encourage writing the thoughts down quickly!
